Het was bedoeld als een &#8220;lichte&#8221; Unimog serie. Om het gamma te vervolledigen, bracht Mercedes enkele maanden later de 417 reeks uit. Deze serie verving de 403, 406, 413 en 416 series.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"De_cabine_van_de_Unimog_417\"><\/span>De cabine van de Unimog 417<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>De cabine van de Unimog uit de jaren 1970 is het meest opvallende kenmerk van de 417-serie gebleven. Het is echter gemoderniseerd en heeft een groter interieur.<\/p>\n<p>De volledig stalen, tweezits cabine met vierpuntsbevestiging heeft een grotere hoogte en meer bewegingsvrijheid gekregen voor de bestuurder en bijrijder. De versterkte cabine heeft nu een groter dakluik en een ge\u00efntegreerd inlaatkanaal. De verbeteringen hebben ook geresulteerd in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>verbeterde zichtbaarheid van frontwerktuigen,<\/li>\n<li>verbeterd zitcomfort,<\/li>\n<li>het geluid in het interieur te verminderen door geluidsisolerende panelen,<\/li>\n<li>verbetert de luchtcirculatie en verwarming.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>De modernisering van het dashboard heeft de bedieningselementen direct in het gezichtsveld van de bestuurder geplaatst. De voorruit is nu gemaakt van gelaagd glas, biedt een breder gezichtsveld en is uitgerust met intermitterende ruitenwissers.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unimog_U800_eerste_model_van_de_417-serie\"><\/span>Unimog U800 eerste model van de 417-serie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>De U800 was het instapmodel van de 407-serie. Hij was uitgerust met de OM 314 viercilinder motor met directe inspuiting van 75 pk uit de voorgaande 403 en 413 series.<\/p>\n<p>De U 800 was in de eerste plaats bedoeld voor gecombineerd landbouw- en gemeentelijk gebruik, waar hij kon worden gebruikt als een zuinige en veelzijdige werk- en tractiemachine voor het hele jaar.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unimog_U900\"><\/span>Unimog U900<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>De U900 verschilde van de U600 doordat de wielbasis met 130 mm was vergroot tot 2380 mm en de koplampbezetting nu in de bumpers was ondergebracht. De krachtigere U900 werd aangedreven door de OM 352 zescilindermotor met directe inspuiting van zijn voorganger U84.<\/p>\n<p>Unimog U1100 T<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unimog_U1150\"><\/span>Unimog U1150<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>De U1150 is een model met een lange wielbasis van 2900 mm en een motor van 110 pk. Geschikt voor de veelzijdige taken van gemeenten en uitgerust met een geavanceerd hydraulisch systeem en frontaal-, zij- en achteraftakas, kan de Unimog U1150 ook met meerdere aanbouwdelen tegelijk werken. De U1150 was een zeer compacte en wendbare machine, die ook bijzonder nuttig bleek te zijn als transportvoertuig.<\/p>\n<p>Het werd gebruikt in het wagenpark van gemeenten. Andere orders voor deze Unimog waren voor de bouw- en energiesector en tenslotte voor de land- en bosbouw.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"U1150_L\"><\/span>U1150 L<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>De chassis waren leverbaar met een wielbasis van 2900 mm en met een wielbasis van 3400 mm voor de U1150 L\/34. Beide varianten vormden de basis voor speciale carrosserie\u00ebn, bijvoorbeeld als brandweervoertuigen.<\/p>\n<p>Naast de volledig belastbare en op afstand bestuurbare pompaandrijvingen werd deze Unimog uitgerust met een transmissie-onafhankelijke hulpaandrijving voor de brandbluspompen.
